What happens when truth is rejected—and worship becomes whatever we want it to be?
In this teaching from 2 Kings 16, we trace the tragic reign of King Ahaz and watch how quickly a nation collapses when truth is removed from the throne. Judah still had a temple, priests, and prophets; but without truth, none of it mattered.
Yet in the middle of judgment, God speaks hope.
Right here, during one of Judah’s darkest moments, God gives one of the most powerful promises in Scripture: “The virgin shall conceive… and His name shall be Immanuel.” God with us.
